Have you ever though about designing your own lingerie?

Think about it, we design outfits everyday, throwing our favorite things together for a different look.

A sexy top, leggings, scarf, sunnies. We design out outwear, why not or sexy underwear?

Its not that hard to do either. I don’t mean you have to manufacture your sexy lingerie from scratch, just accessorize.

Most variations of lingerie are simply that type of lingerie being accessorized in some form or another. For instance, a basic bra can be turned into a sexy bra by adding ribbons to the corners.
If you are handy with a sewing machine, you can add bows or lace around it. The same can be done with underwear. As these basic types of lingerie already come in a huge variety of colors, and basic versions are cheap, thus you can play around with designs or copy your favorite design.

You see on fashion shows and designer shows, professionals doing a similar thing. They will have a manican, and start layering materials, starting with the basic piece. Ok, they have the expertise to design from nothing, however get ideas and inspirations from them. You have the basic lingerie piece already, now you can start adding your favorite materials.
Start by pinning the additional materials on the item of lingerie to see what it looks, the same as the professionals. Change, add, alter until you like the look. Then get from needle and thread or a sewing machine and attach to the garment.
You’ve just designed your very own sexy lingerie.

Another way is to mix and match your lingerie items, as you do your outfit. You can mix colors of bra and underwear, or styles, to create a look that is unique. Remember as long as you feel good in it, who cares if its not ‘technically designy’. Lingerie is about feeling good.
Everyone has their own tastes, this is what designers do, invent looks.
You’ve seen a design TV show, and thought, ‘no way, I wouldn’t wear that!’, or ‘I could design something better than that’. I have. Reality TV shows are great for that, we love bagging out people.
So design it yourself. You’ve got the lingerie there, make your own look. Prove to the professionals you can design better than them!

Also outerwear can be used as lingerie, or as part of lingerie. You’ve seen the movies, the girl walks out with a shirt and underwear, an iconic look. My not seem like lingerie to many, but lingerie can be created with looks just like this.
There are lots of clothes in your wardrobe that can be used to create different styles when combined.

All these are easy and affordable ways to design your own lingerie in your own style. Start with the basic and build or just add simply alternations to a style you love already.
